I did something really hard to do

I did something really hard to do.

I confronted my ex and my daughters about something.

And I think they are open to what I had to say.

glory be to my higher power

glory be to my higher power

for his goodness to me

and to the ones I care about.

Well I spoke to soon about being open to stuff

but am ok that I did the right thing……….

I wonder…

I wonder what will happen when the world starts to see its narcissism better.  I know for me I am being asked,  I believe, to loving, lovingly, and  lovingly confront some people.  I have tried to just get away from them all but for now anyway that doesn’t seem to be in the cards.  And it probably never will be.

Love by George Herbert

Love bade me welcome: yet my soul drew back,
Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-eyed Love, observing me grow slack
From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning
If I lacked anything.

“A guest,” I answered, “worthy to be here”:
Love said, “You shall be he.”
“I, the unkind, ungrateful? Ah, my dear,
I cannot look on thee.”
Love took my hand, and smiling did reply,
“Who made the eyes but I?”

“Truth, Lord; but I have marred them; let my shame
Go where it doth deserve.”
“And know you not,” says Love, “who bore the blame?”
“My dear, then I will serve.”
“You must sit down,” says Love, “and taste my meat.”
So I did sit and eat.

love like that burns me I am so unfamiliar with it.

shed a little light

can’t get enough of this song.

reconciliation-  the jews and the gentiles, after the fool there was no need for them to be separated anymore, after he came there was no reason for us to be separated from our hp even though I feel that all the time………one day the separation will be gone i believe, looking forward to that……  on that day, on that day, on that day…..i’m not sure what the hp is waiting on, if this is what it looks like for humans to be free, then this kind of freedom is way overrated imo.     maybe one day we will all be one.   i like that……….

Shed A Little Light Lyrics

Let us turn our thoughts today
To Martin Luther King
And recognize that there are ties between us,
All men and women living on the Earth.
Ties of hope and love,
Sister and brotherhood,
That we are bound together
In our desire to see the world
Become a place in which our children
Can grow free and strong.
We are bound together by the task
That stands before us
And the road that lies ahead.
We are bound and we are bound.

There is a feeling like the clenching of a fist
There is a hunger in the center of the chest
There is a passage through the darkness
And the mist
And though the body sleeps
The heart will never rest

Shed a little light, oh Lord,
So that we can see,
Just a little light, oh Lord.
Want to stand it on up,
Stand it on up, oh Lord,
Want to walk it on down,
Shed a little light, oh Lord.

Can’t get no light from the dollar bill,
Don’t give me no light from a TV screen.
When I open my eyes I want to drink my fill
From the well on the hill,
Do you know what I mean?

Shed a little light, oh Lord,
So that we can see,
Just a little light, oh Lord.
Want to stand it on up,
Stand it on up, oh Lord,
Want to walk it on down,
Shed a little light, oh Lord.

There is a feeling like the clenching of a fist,
There is a hunger in the center of the chest.
There is a passage through the darkness
And the mist
And though the body sleeps
The heart will never rest.

Oh, Let us turn our thoughts today
To Martin Luther King
And recognize that there are ties between us.
All men and women living on the Earth,
Ties of hope and love,
Sister and brotherhood.

this song brings tears to my eyes.

Shed a Little Light by James Tayor.

for more on the mist read Rick Riordan.   The demi-gods like Percy Jackson could see monsters and other things that mortals could not see because of the mist. There was one mortal who could see through the mist in the Percy Jackson series.   She became the “seer,” a prophet.  Part of the mist for me in this world is the darkness that obscures hope.   This song sees through that mist.
